Is the Cheaper BPC-157 TB-500 Quote Really a Saving?

Two quotes for BPC-157 and TB-500, and one is lower. Here is how to check that both prices cover the same pens and amounts before calling the difference a saving.

Comparisons illustration for the CLOVA guide: Is the Cheaper BPC-157 TB-500 Quote Really a Saving?

You have two quotes for BPC-157 and TB-500 and one is clearly lower. Before you send the cheaper one for approval, make sure both prices cover the same thing. When people compare a BPC-157 TB-500 bundle vs blend, the totals usually differ because the products differ, not because one supplier is sharper than the other.

CLOVA's own range shows how easily that happens. The Wolverine blend is a single 3ml pen holding BPC-157 20mg and TB-500 20mg, 40mg in all. The STRENGTH bundle is two separate pens, KLIK500 (TB-500 10mg/2mL) and KLIK157 (BPC-157 10mg/2mL). Both carry the same two peptide names, yet they are not the same purchase.

What a single price hides

Put the two side by side and the gaps are easy to see.

If a bundle quote comes in lower than a Wolverine quote, that is a price for half the combined content, split over two pens. It is not a discount on the same goods. The reverse holds too: a higher blend quote is not "overpriced" until you know how much material your project actually calls for.

There is also a design question that no price can settle. If your protocol treats the two peptides as separate materials, the blend is not a cheaper version of the bundle at any price. It is a different item, and the comparison should say so.

Lines that move a total without changing the product

Even when two quotes describe identical goods, the bottom line can shift for reasons that have nothing to do with the peptides. Delivery is the usual culprit. One quote may include tracked cold shipping while another adds it at the end, or leaves it out until checkout.

Discount codes cause a quieter problem. A code applied in one quote and not in the other makes the gap look bigger or smaller than it is, and a code counted twice in an approval note creates a saving that never existed. Quantities are the third trap: a quote for one pen of each and a quote for two of one are different baskets, however similar the product names.

A short worked example

Suppose Quote A is for one Wolverine blend pen and Quote B is for one STRENGTH bundle, and B is lower. Do not stop there. Ask three questions in order:

  1. Does the project need 40mg combined, or would 20mg cover the planned work?
  2. Does it need the peptides in one pen, or as two separately labelled items?
  3. Once delivery and any code are added to both, is B still lower?

If the answers are "40mg", "one pen" and "yes", the bundle is simply a different, cheaper-looking offer, and the sensible next step is to ask for a like-for-like quote. If the project only needs 20mg in separate pens, then B is a fair match, and the comparison should be made against other bundle quotes rather than against the blend.

A checklist before you call it a saving

  • Pen count and volume are stated on both quotes.
  • Amount of each peptide per pen, and the combined total, are written out, not assumed.
  • You know whether one pen carries both peptides or each has its own label and batch number.
  • Delivery, packaging and dispatch timing are included or excluded on both, in the same way.
  • Any discount code or time-limited price is counted once and dated.
  • You have checked whether a Certificate of Analysis is published for the item on our COA page or on the product page, since reports are available only where listed.
  • The quote date is recorded, with how long the price holds.

Writing it up for an approver

Keep the note short and specific: which two offers you compared, what each contains, which lines you adjusted and what is still unknown. "Quote B is lower but covers 20mg across two pens, against 40mg in one pen for Quote A" is far more useful to a budget holder than a percentage that hides the difference. If you want to line up the CLOVA listings themselves, the comparison tool shows them next to each other. Everything we list is supplied for laboratory research use only, so your note can also record the intended research purpose alongside the quantities.

Frequently asked questions

Is a bundle always cheaper than a blend?

No. They are different products with different contents, so neither is cheaper by default. Compare totals only after the pen count and amounts match, or after you have noted how they differ.

Can I compare a CLOVA quote with one from another supplier?

Yes, provided you record pens, amounts per peptide, delivery and quote dates for both. If the other quote does not state the amount per pen or the combined total, ask for it rather than assuming it matches.

Where can I see exactly what is in each CLOVA pen?

The product pages for Wolverine and STRENGTH list the contents, and the full research catalogue shows everything currently available. The label name on the pen (WOLVERINEKLIK, KLIK157 or KLIK500) should match the listing when your order arrives.
